hello, testing - 1, 2, 3, check ; Hello? Mike?

This is a real first for me - I have never kept a journal, written a diary, or blogged. What does one write in a blog? I could a. introspect, b. give a commentary on life and events, c. talk about current affairs, d. write something that may be of interest to others. Or I could do a little bit of all.

The real question is: why do I want to blog? It is hard to give a crunchy crisp answer to that. It is partly because I need to a medium to sort out my own thoughts; partly because I think it would be fun to write, since I love to read.

The icing on the cake was that the day after I opened my account, my doctor said I need to revive some of my old hobbies or find a new one. All my old hobbies require dedicated time, while blogging is something I can start and stop as time and inclination dictates. So, hopefully, blogging will prevent osteoporosis, or anemia, or a heart failure. And I can fit it between cleaning training pants, parent teacher meetings, and typing furiously on my blackberry.
